PSA - don’t install the latest #Macstodon release (1.2) if you are running an international version of the Mac OS, because my "clever" installer will "helpfully" overwrite localized OS components with English versions, if they're older 🤦

I don't have a great way to fix this, I think what I'll do for the next release is try to detect international OS versions, just install the app, and maybe pop up a dialog that tells you what localized extension versions you need to hunt down and install on your own if you want to be able to use all the features. https://mastodon.social/@bjornheirman/112282414181611771

In the mean time I’ve published a standalone build here without the installer: https://github.com/smallsco/macstodon/releases/download/v1.2/Macstodon1.2.sit.hqx

However, if you use that, the TTS functionality is not guaranteed to work, unless you have Finder 7.1.3+, AppleScript 1.1+, and PlainTalk 1.5+ installed already (and you will also have to install CFM-68K for Macstodon to work at all, but I’ve included that in the download)
