Our database has grown excessively over the past 3 weeks. We are investigating why, and also going forward with deploying an upgrade to our database, and changes that will shrink the size of our database going forward.

The app has been back online for about 12 hours, but our RSS parsers need to catch up to detect the new episodes we missed during the ~24 hour outage.
Also, our search feature is not working, as we have to wait for our search index operation to finish (eta 1-2hrs).
Sorry for the trouble everyone. The upside of this outage is we have made several improvements to our infrastructure while debugging. We'll post a more detailed update after all services are back online.
@dave @steven are you aware of anything over the past 2-3 weeks that would have led to a surge in new feeds (and/or very large feeds) in Podcast Index?
We already had work scheduled this week to reduce the size of our db bloat, but now our database is just non-functional so we have to do it now. It's our problem to solve, but I'm curious if you're aware of a surge in feeds or giant spam feeds by chance in PI.
