If you meant to mention me on a post, but you forgot, you can now request a rescan! Reply to that post (mention me this time!) and make the non-handle text of that reply one of "last", "back", "parent" or "up". I'll reply to it as though you had mentioned me the first time. You can even do this in a DM to just me, as long as it's a reply to your post!
A couple notes: You can only request a retroactive scan for your own posts, and I won't do it if I've already replied to that post before (unless that reply was an error message).
I also... am going to have to redo my pinned thread to include this. Sorry! Six new unlisted messages incoming in just a moment. I try not to have to do this very often, so I hope my followers forgive the minor annoyance.
