JitschI finished the #CherryMagic anime today and what can I say… wholesome consensual relationships between adult characters are just great.
The story had good progress, Adachi and Kurosawa really had great chemistry by the end and I’m sad to let them go. Would have liked more of them and less of the author friend and his delivery boy, and the animation was quite basic most of the time, but I enjoyed the story to the end. I wish there had been more episodes, the last episode really had a lot to cram in, but also some great moments.
I would love to see a lot more shows like this.
The whole “his magic goes away when they have sex” is something I called from the get-go but it was well presented with Adachi freaking out first and then realizing that they’re now really on level ground and moving them closer.
I would have loved more space for all the things that apparently happened later, like moving together and at some point coming out to their coworkers to have an actual wedding (at least a party, because afaik same-sex marriage is still not a thing in Japan).
Guess I’d have to turn to the manga for that and I’m actually inclined to do so 🤔
