Morning Mastodon. I've been quiet on here for a while, but let's fix that with a build thread.

I've got a cup of coffee and all the parts needed for some Ploopy headphones (https://ploopy.co/headphones/). I'll grab a soldering iron and find out what they're like to build.

Headphones – Ploopy

This might end up being the saddest build thread ever as we might fail on step 1. One of the ports has a pin broken off. We might be able to get a solder blob to stretch enough. Wish us luck.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
This might be the first time we've had to flatten a PCB

I kinda feel like this should be step 1 rather than step 11. Anyway, see you in an hour.

"If your Driver Foams are bent, they need to be flattened before they're installed. You can do this by placing the Driver Foams underneath a heavy book and leaving them for at least an hour."

Still, always feels good to have a reason to use The Art of Electronics
Looks like we're not going to finish this today. I'll leave them under a book over the weekend and pick this up again on Monday.
