@ned I'll just leave this here. The issue is that the term woke has been corrupted. It use to mean being tolerant, and inclusive. And that should never be seen as a negative. Now a-holes are using it for anything they don't like.
I find it interesting how racists and bigots love to corrupt good things.

Ironically it still does. The folks using it as a pejorative think that's a bad thing.
@beeoproblem @ned yeah but they're trying to turn it into meaning something else. Same as the okay gesture. That used to mean okay now it means..... What was it? Proud boys or some crap? I could rattle off a dozen things that have been ruined over the last 50 years because of that kind of crap.
Maybe? The way I see them use it boils down to "tolerant and inclusive but bad somehow"
Like (paraphrased) "woke policies are forcing marvel movies to have female leads and that's why they're bombing"
I've not seen it used outside of "diversity is bad, actually" basic bigotry. I'll admit I tend to not hang out in those spaces much though so 🤷♀️
