Wow that’s a nice shot what gear did you use
I used my Sony a7iv with the 200-600 (took all my images at 400mm f8 iso 100). I made a solar filter from badur film for getting the partial eclipse images (they’re in the video I posted to /c/space, but took the filter off during totality to get this image and a couple of others)
Fantastic shot. Is that a prominence at the bottom?
Yeah based off of some other comments, those are prominences. The big arc that’s at 5 o’clock in the photo was actually visible to the naked eye as a red dot, which was pretty cool.
Insane. Had no idea they were that big. New phobia unlocked.
