@Sobtanian Maybe its fine, and nobody will need the Song of Healing. But, if he ever keeps it displayed while apprenticed to a blacksmith, maybe consider investing in strange bracelets.

I haven't played all of the series, but quite a few of them. Majora's Mask is one of my favorites. I do recommend the 3DS remake if you've got it. The N64 release had a strange save file system and the emulated port for GameCube did freeze on me once.

There's one tip I feel I should share for it. You'll learn Song of Time as part of the plot, but there are two variants of it you can hear about from the talking scarecrow.

@Sobtanian Of the two variants, I consider the Inverted Song of Time to be mandatory, but the game does not stop you and make you learn it. You probably won't enjoy the game without it. You can find the scarecrow to the left of the doorway inside the Trading Post or in the Astral Observatory just after you've entered it from the tunnel.

@Sobtanian The 3DS remake improves on a number of things in the game. One thing I struggled with when I first got it, though, was aiming. I got it with a New 3DS XL with the nub c-stick (that I later learned was the successor to the Circle Pad Pro mentioned in the options menu), and I didn't quite get how to use that. So, I didn't finish that version until 4 months ago, after I found a tutorial image linked in a Reddit thread and turned off the gyroscope aiming.
