Early on, I announced a plan to provide over 40 million working- and middle-class Americans with student debt relief.

Republican elected officials and special interests sued us. And the Supreme Court blocked us.

That didn't stop me from finding an alternative path to relief.

@[email protected] Pres. Biden, my wife and I both attended undergraduate institutions in Wisconsin, and both had student loans. They were great investments, and low enough that we paid them off relatively quickly. This was when the state saw funding as a co-investment in its citizens. Thank you for helping restore some of that balance of society co-investing in education.
