I wonder if y’all can help me out—I’m trying to collect a list of web development communities (not related to any one specific tool or framework), can you reply with your favorites?

(if you don’t have a favorite I will also accept communities you’re familiar with 😅)

@zachleat I’m surprised to see that no one mentioned the WordPress community yet. That’s a shame, because it is not only huge, obviously, but also very welcoming and diverse. Pinging @remkus for a confirmation.

@zachleat I mean, yes, it is related to a CMS, but goes way beyond that.

As for unattached communities, I second @timsev suggestion about @fronteers. This is a collective that raised the bar for conferences and for web standards.

@paul @zachleat absolutely, yes! What kind of web development communities are you looking for Zach? I'm asking because our community is so big that we have many groups focusing on particular tools and such!
