A total solar eclipse will take place tomorrow. The track of totality will cross the Pacific Ocean, Mexico, the United States, Canada and the Atlantic Ocean.
A partial solar eclipse will be visible from all of North and Central America, Greenland and Iceland. The partial eclipse would be visible from Ireland and from western and northern parts of Britain shortly before sunset given clear skies.

The Moon's umbral shadow has made contact with the Earth's surface at one point in the mid Pacific Ocean: a total solar eclipse has begun. The umbral shadow is now sweeping eastwards across the ocean.
The Moon's dark inner shadow is still rushing eastwards across the Pacific Ocean. It will reach the coast of Mexico in about an hour. A total solar eclipse will then be visible in parts of Mexico.
The Moon's umbral shadow is approaching the west coast of Mexico. A total solar eclipse will shortly be visible in parts of Mexico as the shadow sweeps northeastwards.
The dark inner shadow of the Moon will soon cross the border from Mexico into the United States, and the total eclipse will be seen in parts of Texas.
