In the end #MetallicRouge was better than I thought in the middle. A lot of topics that seemed random turned out to actually be relevant to the overall story which came together in a conclusion that mostly made sense.
Nevertheless this show could have done better reducing the cast and having a clearer focus on one topic to give it more depth.
The emotional growth and learning that Rouge went through should have been a central aspect, but came out weak. I think everything just went to quickly to really follow how she changed her mind about some aspects.

I felt like the addition of Cyan was a bit too much (especially her sudden appearance and coming back with a changed character felt so random).
The masked guy being Junghardt was too easy to read, he was literally the only character I could think of to be it.
I didn’t understand until the end how close to human the Neans were supposed to be. If Eden was Genes father it means they can have children with humans and that’s something that should have come up earlier. I’m still wondering if I got it wrong, like Eden just raised him with Eve but Roy was the physical father. But the eye color indicates otherwise 🤔

Also it didn’t make sense to me that after Rouge set off to stop Silvia she chose to free the Neans after all, I mean it always seemed like the show was heading that way but everyone we were supposed to sympathize with kept saying it was wrong…?

Finally Rouge fusing with Naomi also felt rather random because it wasn’t built up as something that seemed possible, actually I wondered the whole time why she didn’t just grab her old ID from Silvia.

And the two alien races fighting was overall too much, that aspect could have been left out to make room for better character development.
