TheImpressiveXA film fan saw 777 movies in theaters in a year, setting a new world record – including watching the Mario movie 35 times.
As per Guinness World Records, Swope saw an eye-watering 777 movies between July 2022 and July 2023, eclipsing the previous record of 715 movies held by France’s Vincent Krohn.
Swope, who was raising awareness about autism, even caught multiple movies several times – including The Super Mario Bros. Movie 35 times and Thor: Love and Thunder 33 times.

Seeing that Thor movie once was 1 time too many. I can’t imagine seeing it 33 times.
Knew he was autistic just by the fact he watched the same movie 35 times.

Maybe he was like me as a teen, buy 1 ticket but go into another theater after the movie ended. Never thought to do it 700 more times though

Why wouldn’t they choose to watch a good movie over 30 times instead?
Maybe the good movies out at the time were too long. Mario was only 90 minutes.
Thor was 2 hours though so I’d have thought that you’d be able to find a better movie with a runtime of 2 hours.
