taberwas ordered to look at this series "The Watchmen" on HBO and three episodes in (I did not/do not know anything about what I am getting into) I am so sure I am never going to find out but I am really logged on

@taber it's a shame the creator of Watchmen, Alan Moore, says the HBO show missed the mark, because I really enjoyed it, but I do see his point as the original Watchmen was a critique on the world's shift toward authoritarianism and hero worship. The new Watchmen seems to either normalize or ignore this theme? Make sure you watch the movie, it's really, really good. I think it put Zach Snyder on the map. 1/2
@taber The Boys may actually be the spiritual successor of The Watchmen as these themes of authoritarianism and hero-worship are shoved hard into your face in a more Marvel-esque style that is all too reflective of today's political climate. 2/2
