I have accidentally consumed hours of discourse on Envy/Desire, the controversial YouTube short film, and I am just now coming to grips with the eventuality I will have to watch it. Um, wait, I read a review of Andy Kaufman's 1981 #Heartbeeps this morning, let's watch that instead. Crisis averted.
Nope. Nope. Nope. Fine, I'll watch this garbage fire called Envy/Desire.
I guess the opening "cheese plate" misdirect is clever? Can i get this filmlook plugin? Vaseline_Sun_washout.fx
Confession: I look away when a movie dares to put a hypnosis swirl on the screen. Late Night with the Devil did it. I'm not taking any chances here.
I am not searching for any vocabulary in Envy/Desire that I don't understand; it won't be worth it. I'm too old.
Live joke tooting Envy/Desire was a terrible idea. It wasn't exactly traumatic, but I would have been better off without this in my brain canon. It's hard to pin down the exact perspective present in this film. Ugh.
