Best place to buy btc? - Lemmy.World

It seems like everywhere is asking for my ID multiple times and there are multiple international companies involved. I thought the whole point of blockchain was decentralised so why can’t I just buy btc without jumping through a thousand hoops?!? I tried using bisq but it seems more geared towards traders and you need btc to buy btc :( any help would be appreciated.
