It's not entirely clear to me why the two legal teams don't have to draft additional jury instructions for if the trial expands to become a murder trial; a shoplifting trial; an assault and battery claim; and a hate crime. I'm sure I'm omitting a number of other irrelevant crimes, but I don't have all day.
