The pathwidth of the AirBnB full occupancy for April 7th (via @Jamie_Lane on X) is currently at 100% of the total #SolarEclipse2024 pathwidth! #dataviz
@pfsmet best use of data visualisation I've seen
@pfsmet still plenty of rooms available in Mexico & Canada!

@pfsmet
Monday's forecast for Dallas and much of Texas is overcast and rainy. I feel bad for those folks that shelled out too much money for accomodations, but they should have known better

@pfsmet I’m in this photo and I’m completely fine with that. 😎
@hackerfriendly I hope you'll get a clear sky at the right moment. Enjoy!
@pfsmet This is where a personal airplane comes handy. Stay in Houston for Sunday night. It's a large city with plenty of hotel and airport capacity. It is only 1 hour of flight from the path of totality even in a basic single. Watch the eclipse from above the clouds, then return. Or, you can land at any airport under the eclipse (choose one with ample parking).
@pfsmet ProTip: You can still get a room about an hour drive away no problem.
We're already starting to plan our 2026 vacation to Spain. Or maybe Iceland.
@pfsmet yup. 2045, I’ll be in my 70s, but I have longevity in my genes. That one will pass right over me. 2017 was spectacular but just couldn’t swing it this time around.
