This doesn't solve the problem and is liable to escalate the situation. Wikipedia editing is primarily a social process, so technical fixes - like just removing a tag you disagree with - don't usually work in the long run. It's more effective to engage with the volunteer who added the tag about their concerns, than to risk starting an edit war by arbitrarily removing it.

@[email protected] The notability tag has to be removed manually -- it won't ever get removed automatically. I have no clue whether it'll be reverted, but that many independent and reliable references whose subject is not Pixelfed, clearly shows its notability, so I removed it.
