We can finally put this issue to bed!
@georgetakei People hate that so much they've come up with entire branches of medicine for it
@georgetakei Sleep apnea is a chronic condition, thank you very much
@MartinBrabi @georgetakei yes I can attest that while snoring loudly most of us are in fact having a pretty terrible sleep
@georgetakei my husband had a VERY LOVELY SLEEP last night. And the night before. Andโ€ฆ
@georgetakei Hehehe, but actually them snoring is them NOT getting a lovely sleep. I was told I snored and when I had a sleep study done it turned out I was a) waking up 70+ times an hour and not remembering and b) suffocating to the point of brain injury every night--blood O2 levels super low.
@crazyeddie @georgetakei Thanks for putting this there. Snoring is fun until one dies from the consequences :(
@tudor @georgetakei Yeah, not everyone who snores has a serious case of apnea or even apnea at all, but it is always some sort of obstruction to breathing going on. Mine is a pretty serious case and I'd probably be dead by now without the cpap.
@crazyeddie @georgetakei Been there, almost died due to my failing immune system. CPAP to save the day!

@georgetakei

Obviously this person has never snored themselves awake in a public library like the rest of us all have.

@georgetakei I think of it as an alarm stating "my defenses are down." Am I a monster?
@georgetakei As a person that uses a machine to keep my breathing okay while I sleep, I can assure you that the sleep I get while snoring isnโ€™t very good!

@georgetakei

My ex husband had that attitude...Really. He felt if I really loved him, I'd get used to it. True story.
