I'm well chuffed. I have created a very simple yet completely automatically-populating disk image menu for the #BBCMicro. It doesn't require ANY user configuration, as long as the disk image is named. It will allow up to 180 disks to be chosen from.

The program actually reboots the Beeb before loading+running the disk image's primary file.

I will probably release this on my itchio page once more testing is done.

I made a screen real-estate miscalculation. Max disk images per screen (just one implemented so far) is 104 disk images, which is still a lot!

This is the menu program running with 104 disk images formatted.

Now using MODE 3 for my disk image menu system. Input routine is 100% bullet proof. A total of 84 (200k) disk images can be displayed; 81 of which are for user's programs/games etc.
I've made a teeny weeny adornment to my self-populating disk image menu program on the #BBCMicro.
@electron_greg That space invader is so wonderfully evocative - it reminds me of the old Grandstand games like "Invader from Space" we had before we had home computers.
@KecskeBak Ahhh yes, on those glorious vacuum fluorescent displays. Memories.
@electron_greg That's pretty cool! It's SUCH a PITA adding games to that BEEB.MMB menu launcher
@48kRAM That was my major thrust for making my own launcher. The built-in jobby is horrendous (next to impossible) to edit.
