Matt WilcoxThinking about it, I'm not sure Star Wars was all that woke. As in, I'm not convinced it was interntionally done that way. I doubt too many of the people making it had much awareness of those aspects of what they were making in terms of concious political statement, and more "this is a cool story, the template has these tropes, and it keeps things simple".
It was perhaps less "woke" and more accedentally playing in that arena.
