I am not too much of a collector of physical doodads, so when I cleaned out the majority of my old CD-rom games, I passed them along to my uncle, who sells that kind of thing on Ebay.

Today, he handed me $75, because he sold one of those old games - a boxed copy of Redguard - for $150.

That's crazy to me. If I wanted to play that today, and I was unwilling to wait for a sale, it'd cost $6 on GoG.

@Krikket people will pay goofy prices for complete in-box things

@achloryn In all fairness, game packaging & in box goodies used to be way cooler than "click to install", but although I hated having to figure out how to store that stuff, I guess now I'm glad I did?

I never expected to see anything from any of it - I just didn't want to toss it all out with the trash. That felt wrong to me.
