Brace yourselves for a reproduction postcard from 1915 or so, a cornucopia of an increasing number of "Wait, what?" the longer you look at it. It has chickens and the barest fucking tangential connection to the holiday of Easter and that's wonderful. Gaze upon it:

Every year I look at this postcard, it's my one Easter tradition. It's more and more fucked up the longer you look at it, but also just very joyful, and if that isn't suitably eldritch and macabre for a holiday I don't care about but must be subjected to, I don't know what is.

Also heck I spent way too long on that alt text, I hope you enjoy it!

It's not quite Easter yet and I don't actually celebrate, but wow do I love this postcard and will take any opportunity to show it to people. 😸
@sinituulia "Faster, my hen, for you must yield more eggs! More! MORE!"
@sinituulia Many of Nyström's Christmas cards are equally delightful and careless and provocative, just love them.
@helna A lot of them are perfectly whimsical and cute, and then there are multiple where you start looking at them and find several different layers. 😄 I've only seen some, but still!
