Sometimes the lens itself really is art.
I need to pull together a review of this little baby, the Sigma 14mm F1.4. It's the Ferrari of ultrawide lenses.

I've had a really good run with Sigma lenses over the last few years. Keep finding gems in their lineup. Like the 105mm macro, or the 60-600mm telephoto.
I'm glad there are still unique and funky lenses being designed by super intelligent engineers in Japan. For all the "glamour" of being a photographer, we'd be nothing without the geeks who build our gear.
Oh yeah I forgot that the 14mm F1.4 turns up a heap in my general overview of "what to pack for the Arctic".
Some nice aurora moments in here from that lens, but also some examples of how I use for landscape work.
