@exador23 Only 77% of the humanitarian aid that entered Gaza since the start of 2024 was distributed within Gaza.
Where is that aid?
Is it piling up in aid agencies' warehouses?
Did Hamas hijack the aid from the UN?
Distribution is what matters.
1. IF those numbers were accurate, that would be 79%, not 77%.
2. That's a meme from a someone with an agenda, not an infographic from a journalist. 'Distribution is what matters' is a value statement you wouldn't see in a news report, and a news org would include a source attribution.
3. To meet Gaza’s minimum needs, aid agencies and UN officials say it currently requires 500 to 600 trucks a day...That’s about four times the number of trucks getting in now. ~Times Of Israel. Volume of aid allowed in is what matters. a 20% problem is NOTHING compared to a 400% problem.
...
4. If "Distribution is what matters," UNRWA is THE agency most equipped for that with 13,000 workers in Gaza. (only 12 were accused of Hamas connections - 0.09%). As this Guardian opinion piece suggests, it certainly appears that Israel's pressure to defund the agency is part of their forced starvation plan. It's rather convenient to say distribution is the issue when you're actively dismantling the agency best equipped for distribution. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2024/mar/26/israel-unrwa-palestine

He’s echoing the disinformation campaign prepared by #COGAT.
Attached: 2 images #Gaza / Israel Dismisses Claims of Famine The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Occupied Territories (#COGAT), Major General Ghasan Alyan, has released a "counter-report" in an attept to challenge and discredit (or simply introduce some doubt) UN's report about starvation in Gaza. For the past few days, COGAT has published images of aid trucks waiting on the Palestinian side of the border crossing, claiming #UNRWA (which Israel helped defund, and is desperately trying to shudown) has been unable to collect and distribute them. Ynet, a center-right Israeli "news" site, known to be IDF's unwavering mouthpiece, has taken part in amplifying COGAT's narrative. https://www.ynet.co.il/news/article/yokra13861884 or https://archive.ph/gZNIQ See also: Refugees International Report: Siege and Starvation: How Israel Obstructs Aid to Gaza https://kolektiva.social/@oatmeal/112098033817653500 World court orders Israel to take action to address Gaza famine https://kolektiva.social/@oatmeal/112175816924976863 IDF Blocked Food Trucks Entery to Northen Gaza https://kolektiva.social/@oatmeal/112050078655547289 Israel’s attempt to destroy UNRWA is part of its starvation strategy in Gaza https://kolektiva.social/@oatmeal/112163006933557736 @[email protected] @[email protected] #Israel #WarCrimes #Gaza
@exador23 that feels like the last words of Eric Garner "I can't breathe". And people are watching and not doing anything. Partly because we can't believe what we're seeing and partly because we're powerless under the institutions we have let ourselves be enslaved by.
Meanwhile those with the power have their boots on the neck of Gaza and are choking it to death, or they are standing by ignoring its last gasps as if that is acceptable.
