@siracusa Re: your vector problem. In Adobe, it’s “outline stroke” or “image trace / image expand”. And then use “pathfinder outline” on your two overlapped shapes and then delete the chunks you want to remove. I don’t have Affinity, but this should help as a starting point to find its equivalent.
