John SiracusaTo anyone who both speaks Japanese and is watching the new ShÅgun TV series (FX/Hulu): are they speaking modern Japanese on this show, or is it some older variant?
Stevesien@siracusa my wife is Japanese and says she does not understand a lot of the dialogue. I speak a fair amount of daily Japanese and understand very little. It is not all modern Japanese.
