Right now on X, there is a 'Key Bridge' trending topic, Francis Scott is missing. It's trending under "Politics"
The entire feed is:
1. This is Buttigieg/Obama/Biden's fault
2. Conspiracy theories about how this is similar to the Obama-produced 'Leave the World Behind' movie
3. Something about the missing/dead workers being Hispanic that I honestly can't even follow
4. Accusations that this is DEI's fault for "lowering standards"
What an absolute irredeemable shit hole that place has become.
@rodhilton
"4. Accusations that this is DEI's fault for "lowering standards""
I saw someone joking about this, but I thought it was a funny "ha ha, wouldn't it be funny if this is what people were actually saying" kind of bit.
They really are beyond parody.
@jargoggles @rodhilton Read this story to the end and try not to weep for America.

Utah Rep. Phil Lyman, who is also a Republican candidate for governor, is exploiting Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse to boost his gubernatorial campaign by blaming the accident on efforts to make workplaces more diverse.
@rodhilton Not to mention people saying that the bridge isn't that strong because a ship collapsed it!
THATS A FUCKING CARGO SHIP. ITS A FUCKING JUGGERNAUT.
No bridge, New, old, or in the future can withstand an impact like that. Its like trying to stop a train going 100 MPH with your bare hands.
These people can't be reasoned with, I swear.
(((those days are over)))
