So, how should I continue my "catching up on the MCU" project? I've watched No Way Home yesterday and seen every #MCU movie leading up to it.

Should I simply continue with the next movie, or squeeze a series in? I've already seen WandaVision and liked it a lot.

Wait, if I understand Wikipedia correctly I should probably watch Daredevil before Hawkeye.
@scy Oh wow, so they made a spinoff from M*A*S*H?
@scy there is a character from Daredevil that appears in Hawkeye, but it isn’t needed.

@scy The Netflix shows (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Power Fist and The Defenders) were separately owned, and Disney only recently got the TV rights back to these characters. So there are no real tie-ins outside Netflix, and who knows if they're considered canon.

I'd definitely say watch Daredevil before She-Hulk, it'll make the experience better. I don’t think there's anything you need to know in Hawkeye about the Netflix characters though. So not required watching.

@scy Personally, I still think that Agent Carter is the best MCU series.
@mikemccaffrey Without going into spoilers: Why? Because I have to say, I found her _very_ uninteresting in the movies.

@scy I liked the relationships and interactions between Peggy and Jarvis. Papa Stark was also tons of fun in the episodes where he showed up.

However, in general, it seemed like an accurate representation of what a female super-spy would have faced in the old-boy's club in the era of the original James Bond.

@mikemccaffrey Okay, you _do_ make it sound intriguing … 🤔
@scy Check out an episode or two! Just be careful you don't accidentally select the "One Shot" version that they threw up on Disney+ that is just a chopped up bastardization of a few moments of the show.
@scy @mikemccaffrey NB — Agent Carter is an Agents of SHIELD Spinoff. But it's chronologically before AoS. So if you like it, that’d likely push Agents of SHIELD up a little on your list (though not much).
@scy the first couple of seasons of agents of shield were really fun! tho it fell off in the later seasons imo
@scy you can’t lose with either Loki or Hawkeye!

@scy

Hawkeye - Is okay. I'm kind of meh on the character.

Multiverse of Madness - Liked it. Thought it got unfairly bashed. Not in the same ball park as No Way Home, though.

Loki - Top choice. It's a solidly entertaining series.

Agents of Shield - Great for network television, but it's a big commitment, and mediocre compared to say Loki or No Way Home.

@scy I haven’t seen WandaVision but recently Multiverse of Madness, and it seems WandaVision is connected to Multiverse of Madness. I’ve watched Loki and season 1 was a good introduction into the multiverse thing. (I’m also in the middle of Phase 4, so I don’t have much foreknowledge and might be wrong)

@smrqdt Yeah, WandaVision has a good chunk of important character development for Wanda. Plus, it's great fun and exciting, and really well made.

(And, fyi, the last two or three episode actually have mid-credits scenes.)

@smrqdt Also, there's some extra fun to be had if you've seen certain X-Men movies, but it's not at all required.
@scy Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has no effects on the movies and Netflix/Disney series but shows effects of the movie events on the world and shows events from other perspectives.

@scy Voted for Hawkeye. Multiverse is right before/after WandaVision, so plot-wise a good choice. Loki is quite original, but kind of sets up the stuff that comes next for all Marvel movies (together with Quantumania).

At this point, I'd save Agents of SHIELD for later. It's very different, and story-wise goes with Cap: Winter Soldier, so will likely just feel slow for you at this point. It's a good show, but you can go back later if you have Marvel withdrawal, you've already skipped it.

@scy Also, I think Disney have made rumors that Agents of SHIELD isn't really canon anymore, which makes it easier to go back to it later on. And yeah, it's 7 seasons, not as easy to snack as the other Disney shows.
