Reading chapter 9, volume 1 of “Thousand Autumns” 🌸 This first volume feels as if it is laying the groundwork for the main plot and couple. Shen Qiao’s character and backstory are a mystery even to himself because of his injury and there seems to be no rush to unveil his past.

Shen Qiao’s relationship with the young Chen Gong shows that he is a truly nice person. His instincts are clearly still intact but all his abilities + even his health are compromised.

@SusannaShore I’m glad you think it is a good series. I was looking for a change of pace after the Husky books. The second volume of Guardian is due mid-April so I wanted to begin something new in the interim …

It isn't much of a romance, but it's a great adventure with a lot of fight scenes in coming books.
