Recommend me an eink reader that I can transfer files to from my phone - lemm.ee

Preferably not a Kindle because I dislike Amazon spyware but if it must be then it must be. My use case is downloading PDFs and epubs onto my phone and transferring them to the eink display.

I do not use a kindle for the same reason. Amazon allows you to create a user email adreaa attached to mobile-enabled kindles to exchange docs by simply firing an email to that address ; it may not be on current models but 3G Paperwhites had them.

I just own a kindle paperwhite wifi only edition. After setting it up initially, it’s never had the wifi turned on again.

I’ve never tried/transferred files to it from my phone, though. I’ll just plug it into a pc and use Calibre to convert and add books I want.
