I often wonder, people who are still masking diligently in 2024 to avoid a neurodegenerative virus, what they were like as toddlers.. because the amount of fortitude necessary in a world that has decided to move on… there surely must be interesting backstories

If people dare say to me “still masking huh” my saccharine sweet yet simultaneously deadpan response is, I’ve read too much

Patience of an actual saint; all of us🖤

@Lorrrraaaaine

I was a loud, obstinate toddler who distrusted people. I experienced chronic pain from infancy that went unaddressed into my adulthood. My partner was a quiet, kind, and obedient kid who learned to distrust people as he got older, in part because of aggressive ableism as he suffered medical conditions.

We both learned through our lives that you cannot trust others to do anything for someone's when it's not socially convenient.

So we ignore complaints about our masks.

@shadowsminder
Oh how naturally wise you were as a toddler🖤
I was quite opposite & trusted the wrong people which followed me far into adulthood. Luckily it’s all sorted out:)

I’m glad to know you guys exist

I just found out about a ridiculous movie the other day called Idiocracy & it’s nice to know the premise isn’t going to happen b/c there are smart people out there with kids 🌈🌈
