Let's see if I can say this gently, so that nobody will get their knickers in a knot:

Hey anybody working in cybersecurity, wannabe-peer and queer American dude speaking!

Cops are an APT.
Republicans are an APT.
The cop in your heart is an APT.

Who are you really working for?

What are you securing?

Why?

If you're white, cis-het, and working in information security, I dare you to boost the above into your timeline, so that your friends in cybersecurity can see it too.

Don't worry about what they think. Just for a minute.

@erosdiscordia Aaron Swartz was a big reason I left security consulting.

@erosdiscordia

$ apt remove --purge cops

didn't work

@erosdiscordia could you define APT in this context? That's not an acronym that tracks anything i'm familiar with, so the message is incomplete.
@rajelaran Advanced Persistent Threat. It's an information security term for security threats that are well-organized and not random individuals.

@erosdiscordia I'll work doing cybersecurity for libraries, schools, nonprofits with good causes, legit charities, and community programs. Don't care if the pay ain't the best; they need help, too.

You're a giant conglomerate actively harming others? I'm the insider threat.
