#SeiyuuSaturday is back from its hiatus. This week, we're looking at #yuusukekobayashi (b. 1985) who began voice acting in 2011.
We start this week in 2016, with Kobayashi's most notable role, Subaru Natuski in #rezero. An ordinary young man who finds himself in another world, Subaru quickly finds himself grappling with great horrors, a necrotic power inside himself, and his slowly decreasing mental health, even as he tries to keep moving forward. One of the greatest anime performances I've heard, Kobayashi is able to always keep the audience invested in Subaru through an authentic, aching styling, both at his lowest points and the moments where he proves triumphant.

In 2017, Kobayashi voiced Satake in #InterviewsWithMonsterGirls, a classmate of the demi-humans who oft provided comic relief but still found an empathic side to himself.

In 2021, Kobayashi was in another isekai as Yuri in #saintsmagicpowerisomnipotent. A high-ranking mage who is obsessed with magic, Kobayashi did a nice job at presenting a goofier character while still hinting at the depths of his powers and personality.

In 2022, Kobayashi both fought evil and kissed it as the Red Gelato, Fudou, in #loveafterworlddomination. The leader of a sentai team who finds himself in a relationship with a villainess, Kobayashi played more of a energetic himbo who still showed a deep level of care about his girlfriend and those around him.
Finally, Kobayashi starred in last year's #ningenfushin as Nick, a young man kicked out of his party who finds himself forming a new one with similarly betrayed people. Kobayashi plays Nick with a similar tone to Subaru, albeit with more resignation towards the attitudes of others yet still maintaining hope about connecting with people.
