Joe ❌👑@cferdinandi @flexghost We don't have a presidential dictatorship, and there was massive resistance among Republicans to vaccines and masking. Most of the deaths after vaccines became available were in red counties and red states. Also, COVID existed in the US for less than one year of Trump's term and 3+ years of Biden's term. I won't defend Biden giving up on asking people to mask, but again, we don't have a presidential dictatorship and there is a limit to what you can make people do.
But really: you want to pretend that the guy who wanted us to inject bleach and take horse parasite meds was as good as Biden on COVID?

I wish our two-party system afforded us some better options, but here we are.
@cferdinandi @flexghost Biden is as wrong as he can be on Gaza. But he got a ton of stuff enacted with just a tie in the Senate (infrastructure particularly), got a lot of student loan debt forgiven despite being fought every step of the way in the courts. He was a lot more skilled than Obama was at legislating, and a lot more pro labor. His appointments have been better: Obama filled up his administration with a lot of Wall Street people, Biden finally got us an FTC chair who is serious about antitrust. He was about my 5th favorite Dem in 2020, more conservative than I would like, but he is highly competent and better than I thought he would be.
