The most unrealistic thing about this Cdrama is that they have their phones make noise when they get texts. It was filmed in 2021. No one does that, darlings. We're all more refined than that.

It did result in the most delightful scene where they were near each other on public transport and texting each other and they ALMOST met offline. The tension was excellent, the scene was well done. A+ work by everyone. Give the script writers extra cookies.
I am ignoring all the subplots and the random dude in the jungle and only watching the scenes with the main OTP. If you focus on that, it's an excellent example of how to write tension without death and danger as the stakes.
The writers have done an excellent job of showing us two people who have a working online relationship, who care about each other, and who are not together for realistic reasons. The viewers knows the characters will be so happy together, and that anticipation creates tension.
All that being said, #LoveScenery should have been a 20 episode mini-drama with just the main OTP in 15-30m episodes. They threw in an extra mini-drama in the background that I've been skipping since E1 and it changes none of the plot.
Which is also a good writing lesson, I suppose.
