Corn Nuts used to have a radio ad jingle that went something like “Bust a nut, bust a nut. Open up a bag and bust a nut.”

I remember hearing it in the car in middle school while a friend’s mom was driving us somewhere. My friend and I both looked at each other in disbelief, like “is this really happening?” His mom was completely stone faced so we assumed she didn’t know what busting a nut was or just wasn’t paying attention to the radio. In hindsight, she was probably hoping the same about us.
