Hi there fellow world travellers, I have an event just outside Rome at the beginning of June. Spending 3 days in Rome, then the gathering, then have ~2 days until I fly home.

Worth staying Rome after, or heading to someplace like Naples for a couple of days?

Any and all advice welcome, I've never been to the south of Italy.

@emd I'd lean towards staying in Rome, personally. There's plenty to see / do, and with just 2 days it would maximize your time for exploring vs. driving back and forth.

That being said, when I was there (15+ years ago, admittedly) we did a day tour to Naples/Pompei from Rome. If you don't mind the structure that comes with a tour like that, it can be a nice way to see a few more places and still start/end your day in Rome.
