Was your green beer more expensive this St. Patrick's Day? Perhaps it's because of corporate concentration?

If markets were competitive, corporations would keep their prices as low as possible as they competed for customers.

Fewer competitors means higher prices for you.

@rbreich There are in excess of 250 breweries in Ohio. Every little town has its own brewery now. The barriers to entry are so low in the brewing industry that there is plenty of competition. Who cares what the market share is of the majors? They don't really make beer anyway. :)
