I learned in my first few years in the workforce that, while employees may have loyalty to a corporation, a corporation does not have loyalty to its employees (maybe that was the case once, but no longer). Your boss may be great or care for you, but when it's bottom line vs. employee, the bottom line always wins. I am surprised at undying love of some folks to whoever their corporate overlord is at the moment. 🤷 #cynicism
