Judge Scott McAfee found "appearance of impropriety" brought about by Willis's romantic relationship with Nathan Wade should result in either Willis and her office leaving the case - or just Wade, who she'd appointed to head the case” 1/…

Key finding from GA decision: "Similarly, the Court further finds that the Defendants have failed to demonstrate that the District Attorney’s conduct has impacted or influenced the case to the Defendants’ detriment." page 7 ie No prejudice at all to the defendants.

There was never sufficient evidence for disqualification of Fani Willis. Special prosecutor should now gracefully steps aside & the Judge shld allow no more salacious side shows that lack evidence.

Georgia v. Trump order on disqualification

5/ Via Kyle Cheney:

MCAFEE blated Willis for a "tremendous lapse in judgment" and said he may be prepared to issue a gag order on the prosecution for her out of court statements on the matter. But he said that was not the motion before him — yet.

6/ Weissmann:

The GA decision is a blow to Willis, but it could have been worse.
On the negative side: it allows ethics charges to go forward, and fudges the law to get Wade off case; but on the pro side, it does not kill the case altogether.

@GottaLaff “I just want to find 11,780 votes.” We all heard it. Still relevant.
@JonChevreau @GottaLaff The most damning part of the call was when Raffensperger carefully rebutted Trump's fraud claims and offered to show him all the evidence the SoS's office and GBI reviewed proving the claims false. Trump's refusal to consider *any of that evidence* while he continued to make the false claims demonstrates his willful disregard for the truth.
