@unjello@BartWronski@demofox in my days 90% of high-paid IT dudes had their own sole proprietorship 'companies' and only paid 20% or so flat even on regular income, not sure if it's still the way ;)
@msinilo@unjello@BartWronski@demofox These days there are 5 different ways to pay tax if you're a B2B employed programmer in Poland. Lowest is 12% "lump sum" tax, but there's also a 19% flat tax rate, and the regular tax scheme, and variations of those. Notably you must have a full employment contract if you are in management, and cannot use a B2B.
@msinilo@unjello@BartWronski@demofox Yes indeed. Although a down side of job offers from international companies, they tend not to offer B2B in Poland and only full employment contracts.
@dominikg@msinilo@unjello@BartWronski@demofox AFAIK lowest one is flat 5% using IP Box, but even 12% or 19% is ridiculous given that it's a tax targeting mostly best payed employees like programmers.
@k_narkowicz@msinilo@unjello@BartWronski@demofox IP Box has insane reporting requirements which makes it much too inconvenient to use. Also of you're not on a full employment contract you need to pay for the national healthcare fund, so that is an extra cost to bear, usually around 10% with various conditions.
