Dad… it’s been 9 years. In our family collection of blurry, squinty and poorly composed photos around the world, I found this - a typical Pratchett shot since we are 1)Not looking at the camera 2)focused on food and 3) embracing hat wearing. The trifecta. Miss you always. ❤️
@rhipratchett this is a lovely photo and memory.
@rhipratchett Wonderful image of your father being the king we know he was. One with a slightly crushed crown and a chicken stain or two, but a king nonetheless. He is greatly missed, a hug to you and the family.

@rhipratchett We will miss your father forever. He not only made us laugh, he also made us think about what's important in life and I would say he was a major influence on myself and many of my friends.

I know so many people who still quote his works, base their TTRPG characters around those from the Discworld and generally appreciate what he has done for us.

Thank you for sharing your memory of him with us and for giving us your own works as well! ❤️

@rhipratchett I think you are undervaluing this "natural" picture as opposed to the typical forced "smile for the camera" snapshot.
@rhipratchett we miss him too, but he left so much for us to enjoy.
@rhipratchett Your father had an amazing gift for writing fabulous characters and great stories that reminded us of what truly ridiculous creatures humans are.
Love to your family and thank you for sharing your memory of him
@rhipratchett It's unbelieveable how many lives your father has touched, and continues doing so. He is missed ❤️
@rhipratchett Laughing while reading, "The Light Fantastic," was my only detention in school. I have no regrets.
@rhipratchett great photo. thank you for sharing with us.
@rhipratchett
As I raise my glass to #SirTerryPratchett , I wonder if I am already an alcoholic or still a drunk
@rhipratchett I only really began discovering the cosmos of his writing after his death, and oh, how I wish I had met him at least once during his lifetime. Page by page, line by line, word by word, I feel seen and addressed by his narrative voice, seen in all the fragile, vulnerable, questionable clutter of my and our humanity. I cannot even begin to fathom how much you must miss him. Take care, and keep the love and joy coruscating.

@rhipratchett We all miss him too... All around the world.

Thanks for all Terry. Sincerely.

@rhipratchett

A photo of Terry and Rhianna Pratchett, both wearing golden paper crowns and conscienciously looking at their plates on a table full of food and wine.

#alt4You

@rhipratchett he will never be forgotten.
@rhipratchett Glad to have stumbled across you. I miss him too. I remember what Neil Gaiman said about him seeming angry that the world was not a better place. I can find nothing but respect for that.
@rhipratchett Wonderful photo. As a consolation we can meet him again in L-Space.
@rhipratchett May our Dads meet in heaven.
@rhipratchett he’ll always be my fav all time author. Thinking of you and your family.
@rhipratchett Don't know why I looked for a bottle of scumble on the table, but I did.
@rhipratchett We all miss him so much. Thanks for sharing. ♥️
@rhipratchett Seems quite fun, that dinner.
@rhipratchett You did make a lovely pair of dorks.
@rhipratchett remembered in the clacks forever. Thanks for the lovely photo 🤗
@rhipratchett Oh, this picture is everything! I love it!
@rhipratchett I just stumbled across this, and thought you might appreciate it for obvious reasons: https://ohai.social/@archaeohistories/112112705922723323

this looks like a nearly perfect father and daughter foto ... who was the fotographer?

@rhipratchett

It’s not the same.
But we miss him too.

@MaxaufderRax Thabk you. Although that post was from last year. Will be making another later today.
