Wandering through the #katemiddleton rabbit hole, I learned that before being a title for the heir to the English crown, a prince of wales was a psychopomp or like #gwynapnudd even a prince of the Fae & the #otherworld. So my theory, the Fae guard Kate until she has achieved her divorce & custody for the kids. Probably she is a fae herself, which would explain the absence of her parents.
