My super subjective #Oscars best picture ranking:
1. Poor Things
2. Oppenheimer
3. American Fiction
4. Past Lives
5. Anatomy of a Fall
6. Barbie
7. The Zone of Interest
8. The Holdovers
9. Killers of the Flower Moon
10. Maestro

I thought it was a really strong line-up this year, and would have been happy with literally any winner (lets be honest we all know it's gonna be Oppenheimer) with the exception of Maestro.

@near while I'll root for Holdovers, the rest of this list is pretty similar to my own! I kinda expect Oppenheimer to take it all (it's a very good film though not quite my top fave of the year).

Agreed with Maestro just being kinda not great. Maybe if I were more into Leonard Bernstein I'd appreciate it more, but it also didn't really sell me much on him either. Kinda felt like a series of vignettes, which _can_ be really good, but in this case not of it really came together. I do want to own his house out in the country though, that looked lovely.

@zoepants the Holdovers is a movie I enjoyed more than I thought I would. Really good performances. Just didn’t grab me as much as most of the rest.

Glad Da’Vine won, she was def the best nominee in her category.

@near absolutely, she gave an incredible performance in a movie full of great performances.

And seriously, it was a really good batch of best picture candidates this year. Certainly glad I found the time to watch them all this year!
