Ten-ish years ago I found Fing, basically a nmap w a GUI in an Android app for scanning the Wi-Fi network for devices, port scanning them, even launching an app for the selected ip:port.

Then they started some cloud shit. Then security watch shit. Then some recurring subsciption thing. And so on.

Today as I was configuring a network, I used the app to see which devices are up.

After the 3rd scan it said "insert coin to continue".

30 USD/year.

What. The. Fuck.
