So happy to see this new, wonderfully sharp article on Mastodon by @inquiline is out. It thoughtfully demonstrates the ways in which Mastodon's featured anti-abuse affordances can in fact make the job of moderators more difficult. And it articulates nicely how and why hashtag activism tends to be a more difficult project on Mastodon than on the birdsite of yesteryear. Great constructive critiques of which I hope designers and admins take note.
