It's been a while since I played with JavaEE, now JakartaEE.
I'm pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get a Jakarata EE 10 app up and running with @Apache netbeans and Payara micro (@payarafish).

Where it seems to me that in general the "cloud native" (ahum) world is moving towards more blabla and complexity to hide important stuff from developers, Jakarta EE is moving in the right direction: no nonsense, focus on the developer who has to write the code.

big shoutout to Josh Juneau (@javajuneau) ! I saw his name popping up in the NetBeans generated Jakarta EE 10 template and that gave me a confidence boost that there are still highly skilled people working on it! (Actually, I don't know who is active on Jakarta EE today, so I will hopefully run into more familiar names soon :) )
