📣📣 CALLING ALL 80s KIDS!

@shannoncurtis and i have started side B of our "80s kids" project, in which we make loving recreations of some of our favorite songs from our 80s childhood

the first song on side B is "forever young," originally recorded by the german band alphaville. this song never broke the top 40 in america, but it's nonetheless a defining classic of the era. i mean, it's a synthpop song about nuclear dread; it's the archetypal 80s song

@pete @hilljam there was a huge hit of the same name in the states in the late 80s by Rod Stewart. But not anywhere as emotional and evocative as Alphaville’s song. (imo) 🥰

Our list for future 80s kids songs is SO LONG! Which is great, because it means we could be doing this for a while if we want 🤩 … maybe we’ll get to an all-requests album on 80s kids part 4? 😂😂
